Eco Fuel Innovations Pty Ltd ABN 32 603 490 857 (EcoFuel) is the licensor of the first continuous process CDP plants in the world, which is necessary to support larger commercial production. The CDP plants have been designed by leading experts with experience covering a full range of engineering, commissioning and operations services for the conventional oil & gas, energy and alternative energy industries.

There have been a number of R&D plants  constructed around the world since 2002. Trials are currently underway with EcoFuel for a CDP-100 process with key design and process information collected for the first commercial project - including demonstration of this technology on a continuous operating basis. These trials then form the basis for the first continuous commercial process plant in the world established at Wodonga. Designed to achieve operational capability of 24 hours a day seven days a week, for 7500hrs per annum, it will represent the culmination of significant research and R&D plants over the last 14 years, to be the first CDP plant able to operate on a truly commercial basis in the world.

The CDP plants replicate the natural biodegradation process to achieve the conversion to diesel, but this process is accelerated by the introduction of a catalyst,lime and the environment within the system. The diesel that is produced exceeds the current Australian Standard (AS3570) and is a higher quality specification than normal bowser diesel.

There are many benefits associated with producing diesel using the CDP technology including: reduction of landfill, the efficient production of a high quality diesel on a sustainable basis using a cost effective, affordable and scalable technology. Due to the higher diesel specification, it produces less  emissions when used in a vehicle and enables vehicles to travel further on one litre of diesel. It reduces wear and tear on the vehicle minimising servicing costs. This results in savings for the customer whilst providing environmental benefits.
The CDP technology has worldwide patents pending and provides a competitive advantage in converting waste to energy through economic viability, relatively low capital cost, and the superior quality of the end product.
